What is PowerOne?
PowerOne is a connected operating suite for growing Indian businesses. It brings quotations, orders, purchasing, stock, GST invoicing, collections, people and documents into one platform, so information is entered once and carried through.
Who is PowerOne for?
Owner-led businesses of roughly one to thirty people that have outgrown spreadsheets and do not want an ERP. Typical fits are traders and equipment suppliers, technology resellers, professional services and food businesses.
Is PowerOne an ERP?
No. It is an operating suite for the everyday work of selling, buying, stocking, invoicing and collecting. It deliberately excludes a general ledger, statutory payroll, retail point-of-sale and manufacturing.
Does PowerOne replace our accounting software?
No. Your accountant keeps using their software. PowerOne produces an accountant handoff pack with registers, a GSTR-1-shaped summary, a reconciliation and a Tally XML export for a date range.
How does PowerOne handle GST?
Products carry HSN/SAC and GST rates. Invoices are generated from orders with place-of-supply checks for intra-state and inter-state tax, and a wrong document is refused with a link to the fix. GSTIN and PAN problems raise warnings rather than rejections. Document numbers follow your financial year and prefixes without duplicates or gaps.
Does PowerOne calculate payroll?
No. The People workspace records leave, timesheets and monthly payslips, with employee self-service. Payslips are recorded and published, but statutory deductions such as PF, ESI and TDS are not calculated.
What are the operating modes?
Products, Services or Both. You can switch later without a migration, and users see only the workspaces their business needs.
How do we get started?
Setup is guided: business identity, tax and numbering, operating mode, importing data, inviting your team, a readiness check and your first quotation. You do not need a consultant.
Can we import our existing data?
Yes. Six CSV templates cover customers, suppliers, products, kits, opening stock and opening receivables. Each import is previewed before anything is saved.
How is access controlled?
There are five role presets: Owner, Sales, Purchase & Stock, Accounts and Employee. Sign-in supports two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, and repeated failed attempts lock the account. Each record has a timeline, and sensitive actions go to an audit log.
Can we get our data out?
Yes. You can export all of your records as CSV.
Does it send WhatsApp messages and emails?
Yes. Quotes, invoices, receipts and statements can go out by email, or by WhatsApp using approved templates. A delivery log shows what was sent, failed sends can be retried, and consent is recorded per channel and purpose.
